Book for Express Maths
It is truly inspiring to observe that many are following my blog and appreciating me personally for the efforts involved in detailing every aspect w.r.t. CBI job. Your support is so much that the blog has crossed 5,00,000 visitors (as on 01-May-2020) with in very short span and the count is rapidly increasing. This is truly inspiring me to write more and more articles as more people are deriving value out of articles of this blog and adding colours of hope to their life. Such response makes me believe that people are curious to know everything about CBI job. I am even happier to know that people are left with no/little doubts about CBI after going through my blog which i consider as an evaluation by the readers on the level of details mentioned in this blog by me.
Many people are asking me over various channels to share my Maths notes so that they can refer and gain something out of it. They are in fact right. How will one have edge over others if everyone is reading the standard books that are available in the open market? Their repeated earnest requests made me to think why shouldn't i share my personal CGL Maths preparation when they are getting benefited.
At first, i thought of scanning my notes and share the pdf. But, i realized later that the notes is in crude and rough form and it won't help anyone and it can create unnecessary doubts in their minds. The notes content can only be understood by me as the context and technique used there is familiar only to me which others miss if they read.
So, for the benefit of all our friend aspirants, I am planning to write a book in organized and structured manner that includes self invented techniques of only advanced level and includes even some trap questions. After reading this book, you will learn at least 10-20 techniques or more which you never observed or learnt so far. I am confident that they have the potential to save your time and we all know how much valuable each minute is in the exam hall. Extra one minute --> Able to attempt one extra question and you would feel the difference when the final result of the all India level exam is out.
I am trying my best to give you a feeling that it is a high yielding, worth reading and best book for SSC CGL Maths preparation. If you have enjoyed reading this blog, i am sure you shall enjoy reading the new book as well. English used in the book will be as simple as used in this blog. I shall keep in mind that aspirants are already bored of standard formula based books (l*b, 4a ..) and they are expecting something next level, analytical and thought provoking. I also know that you are already aware of Vedic math tips (25x25=?..) and other coaching center's standard basic tips (x+y - xy/100 ..). I shall not focus on them.

If more people want it, I shall start working on it in my free time. Otherwise, it is not worth spending my time to make lot of efforts in making such book. Book publishing has never been easier while aspirants has some expectations. I am planning to make a 120 page book in such a way that it can be used not just for your CGL but also for any other competitive exams.
Pls let me know if anyone is interested for the book by dropping a comment below. Only genuine requests pls. Interested will be contacted once the book is ready.

Update (19-Nov-17):
I am yet surprised with your overwhelming response and happy to know that more than 100 people, just in a couple of weeks, contacted and requested me through various other channels to prepare the book and they are eager for it. Understanding your passion to know the subject and to have edge over others in learning the new and less familiar techniques, i have planned to prepare the book and I am sure it will not disappoint you. I shall inform you all as and when it is ready to serve.
Update (22-Nov-17):
Many were asking me to share a sample question to know how the book is going to be. For those curious readers, here is a sample question which i solved in my way.
Q) Cost Price (CP) = 1250. Selling Price (SP) = 1437.5. What is the Profit%?
a) 21% b) 13% c) 15% d) 17%
If it had come to your mind that 100/12.5 = 8, it would have saved your time in arriving at the required answer. Though it was a small question, the explanation given here look lengthier as I elaborated the process of thinking and solving the problem in mind. Once you start practicing, it doesn't look complicated and the technique becomes handy.
Now let us suppose the options given in the problem are as below
a) 24% b) 12% c) 15% d) 16%
This is a classic example how the same question with different options can be lot easier. For the given options, there is still a faster way to mark the answer. Always remember that there is nothing called best method. Best method is decided by the numbers given in the question. Pls note that options are also part of question.
We know that 1% of CP is 12.5 and all even percentages 2%, 4%, 6% ... of 12.5 would always result an integer like 25 (=2*12.5), 50 (=4*12.5), 75 (=6*12.5) ... and only odd percentages like 1%, 3%, 5% ... can give the fraction values like 12.5 (=1*12.5), 37.5 (=3*12.5), 62.5 (=5*12.5) ... Our profit is a fraction (187.5) which means our percentage figure should be an odd number and we have only one such option i.e. 15%.
If you have truly understood the first technique i mentioned above, then i have a practice question.
Q) Cost Price (CP) = 200. Selling Price (SP) = 380. What is the Profit%?
∴ Profit = 200 - 20
= 100% of CP - 10% of CP
= 90% of CP.

Answer: I know you will handle this problem with standard formula or from the given options. However, there is a smart way of solving it. Before you see my approach, Pls solve yourself and see if my approach is better. Careful observation of numbers given in the question would give the answer very fast. No medicine can be used for every disease. Similarly, this method may not be idle, given some other numbers in the question. Best method needs to be adopted as per the given question.
If the profit was 200, the SP would have been 1450 but our SP is little less.
If the profit was 200, the SP would have been 1450 but our SP is little less.
So, my profit = 200-12.5. There is a benefit to look at the profit this way.
12.5 (100th of 1250) is 1% of CP and hence 100 (=12.5 * 8) is 8% of 1250.
∴ Profit = 200 - 12.5
= 16% of CP - 1% of CP
= 15% of CP.
∴ Profit = 200 - 12.5
= 16% of CP - 1% of CP
= 15% of CP.
